Giant Chain Fern
Woodwardia fimbriata

 



This fern can reach heights of 6 feet tall and a width of  9 feet.  This semi-hardy, evergreen fern has huge oblong fronds that are clustered.  It can be found in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.


Native American Usage


The Native Americans used the stalks to make baskets.
