Eriogonum fasciculatum

California buckwheat is a favorite of bees and butterflies. This low
spreading shrub reach about 4 feet high and 10 feet across. Tiny white to
pinkish flowers bloom from April to October. The dead, branched clusters
of flowers persists after peak blooming season and are rust-colored.
Native American Usage
The Native Americans used the leaves for headache and stomach pain. An
infusion of the flowers were used as an eyewash.
