Adopt-An-Animal

Anyone can "adopt" one of our animals for a year. Individuals, schools, scouts, families, businesses, organizations, and classrooms can sponsor their favorite animal for one year. Makes a great gift too!

Choose your favorite animal from our adoption list. You will receive:

Photograph of your adopted animal
Special talk about the animal that you adopted
Official adoption certificate
Your name on the Adopt-an-Animal Parent Showcase  at the zoo.

Animals may be adopted by more than one parent. You will be adopting the species of animal, not an individual animal. Zoo animals, like all living things, are subject to change. They may become ill, die, or be moved to another zoo. If any of these things happens, your adoption will be transferred to another animal. Animals may be adopted by more than one parent. Animals remain at the zoo, under the care of the professional staff. Your donation will help to enhance the lives of the animals and the Orange County Zoo.
